E-Mail Newsletters Show Positive Benefits

I continue to be amazed at the number of farm marketers that have not begun marketing with e-newsletters.  According to a recent survey I just read from Epsilon, “more than 57% of American consumers have more positive opinions about companies that send them emails – 50% say getting an email increased the likelihood they will purchase from these companies.”

It’s not hard to get started but you do have to create an on-farm location for people to sign up as well as adding an opportunity on your website. I just attended a meeting at our farm yesterday and learned that our January/February business is up and our e-newsletter was attributed to these sales increases. The e-newsletter can be short and simple telling of something new going at the farm, special offer or even a coupon. Your best customers like to be kept informed.

Don’t delay another season. Get started with e-newsletter campaigns. We recommend and use Constant Contact with our clients and have been very pleased with the ease of using their template designs. What has been your experience with enewsletters?

If your excuse is that you are short on time and don’t want to learn the technology -then contact us and we’ll design and set up your e-newsletter for you. We’ll even provide the training necessary to get you started or we can write them for you. E-Mail newsletters will increase your sales and is a marketing strategy you can no longer ignore. Get started now!

Agreed. But you don’t need Constant Contact…with a good webhost (I use 1&1) e-mail marketing is part of the the deal, so you can have your site hosted *and* do e-mail newsletters for less than constant contact costs alone.

Out of curiousity does your webhost prove statistics? Such as: number of people that open the e-news, number that click through to your site, identify the bounces (bad addresses) etc. It is the back end numbers of Constant Contact that I find so helpful to analyze the effectiveness of each e-news sent.
